Los Angeles experienced citywide festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Supporters worldwide joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved consecutive championships.

Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Crowds

Los Angeles area celebrations featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.

Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents flooding city center avenues, many displaying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the crowds, raising the Commissioner’s trophy high.

“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” the star player remarked through an interpreter.

The parade route concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the team emerged to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and Ice Cube cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.

Pre-Parade Festivities and Athlete Responses

Festivities started well before the parade, with Dodgers fans setting off flares in the streets of the city center on the previous evening.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the MVP of the championship, spoke directly about the win.

“We refuse to lose,” Yamamoto stated. “I love the Dodgers. I love Los Angeles.”

Mixed Reactions and City Unity

In contrast, Mark Walter received a less warm reception at the rally. Recordings from the event appear to show him walking onstage to a combination of cheers and boos, with negative shouts punctuating his address.

The championship served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, fans this year demonstrated equal or greater enthusiasm.
