Former British Broadcasting Corporation Consultants Participate in Members of Parliament's Questioning In the Wake of Assertions of Prejudice in Unauthorized Memo
We begin with questions from Conservative MP the panel's head, that oversees the panel.
She opens by giving details to the unauthorized memo prepared by Michael Prescott and printed in a daily publication.
"I don't want the BBC leaning in any particular direction, My only wish is for it balanced, fair and fair," he states.
In response to a query if he thinks the BBC is institutionally biased, Prescott responds: "Absolutely not. Let's be clear, tons of stuff the BBC produces is top-tier - both documentary and entertainment content."
Nevertheless, he states: "There remains significant effort that needs to be done at the British Broadcasting Corporation."
The second ex-adviser BBC adviser examined by the committee, Caroline Daniel, says she views the British Broadcasting Corporation extremely earnestly and that it has a "ongoing system and active debate" across evolving and intricate issues.
"Was the BBC prepared to have a thorough conversation and debate and take action?" she asks herself. "From my perspective, indeed, they were."
