Football Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions
Arsenal's 10-game winning run came to an end by the Black Cats before the international break, however will the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.
In week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
The singer's latest record, the new release, is out on Friday.
Soccer and Parenting Experiences
Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple charity football games over time - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a player.
"{I recently played in a benefit match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or son decides to play instead."
Murs and his wife his partner have two children, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.
"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend football team," he added.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.
"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is now more potent with Pedro and Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this fixture will be quite close, however. Burnley are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
It smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
Olly's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look competitive again.
The Hammers' sole on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest coach.
So, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?
I will choose Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's prediction: The home team are doing well but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season began, but they have impressed a few observers under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four games.
A family member advised me to select Bees forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.
The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.
They have not had great success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the break but I feel the home manager's side carry much more of a danger.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
The singer's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually turns out to be quite tight. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six games.
They have have lots of quality in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.
As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.
Their display in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team rough up the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the end of October.
However I am not going to do that. Instead, I really need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.
Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
Olly's choice: I know the visitors are doing well and also that the hosts are on a bad run... but they have still been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a tough one to call. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
